A NEED FOR NOURISHMENT
In early November, 1991, Jay and Linda Hill of White Settlement, Texas, were charged with aggravated kidnapping and injury to a child. A few weeks earlier, on November 3rd, Linda had called the hospital to report that her son had suffered a heart attack. When police arrived at the mobile home, they found the 13-year-old boy, Steven unconscious. Steven was terribly underweight and chained to a cabinet in the living room. An investigation quickly discovered the horrible fact that Jay and Linda had kept Steven chained to the furniture for weeks. They wouldn’t allow Steven to eat. He could watch them eating in the kitchen, but he shriveled up to a mere fifty-five pounds before…
