COMMUNICATION AND UNDERSTANDING
Little Kate came home from kindergarten one day and announced that she had learned a new song — “God Bless America.” To demonstrate, she sang a few bars. “God bless America, land that I love;
Stand beside her and guide her,
Through the night
With a light from a bulb.” Along the same line is the story of the Daddy who was listening to his child say his prayers. The kid started his prayer, “Dear Harold.” At this, Dad interrupted and said, “Wait a minute — how come you called God “Herold?” The little boy looked up and said, “That’s what they call Him in church. You know the prayer we say, “Our Father, who art in Heaven, Harold be Thy Name.”
