“These men are throwing our city into confusion” (Acts 16:20).

Sometimes regions or cities develop a kind of friendly rivalry, like the one fostered and enjoyed between St. Paul and Minneapolis, Minnesota. St. Paul struck the first blow, establishing itself as the first big city in the vicinity. Though it maintained its dominance for quite a while, Minneapolis not only caught up in recent years but has become the major city in the entire area. Still, a mayor of St. Paul was quick to point out the lofty status bestowed upon his city by Divine Providence. “You can read the Bible from cover to cover,” he said, “but you’ll never find the word Minneapolis.”
