In the April 26 – 28, 1996 issue of USA Weekend, appeared an article by Brenda Turner entitled “Culture Crash.” In this article Turner, a senior associate editor of USA Weekend, identified five “values gurus,” who have emerged as leaders in the national focus on family values. The five individuals Turner has identified are: 1) Dan Quayle, Republican vice president during the George Bush presidency who contends that traditional two-parent families work best.
