THE PROMISE OF THE STAR
“They saw his star in the east…” We call it the eastern star. The only thing “eastern” about that star is the place from which it was seen. The wise men viewed a western star. The direction, however, is not the issue. The promise and fulfillment is. The wise men were given God’s promise; they acted upon it and were not disappointed. Christmas still stands as a promise. Those who act upon it and trust the Savior will not be disappointed.
