Commitment | Communication | Compromise | Divorce | Forgiveness | Marriage | Providence | Reconciliation

At least according to the movie classic, “Midnight” starring Claudette Colbert and Don Ameche, there was once a French law on the books that said before a divorce can be granted, the couple must spend at least fifteen minutes in a reconciliation room. I wonder if that might not be something we should consider for our systems over here. Some people spend thousands of dollars on a wedding. Only to have the wedding fall apart because of some misunderstanding. Then, if neither one contests it, without much thought of reconciliation, they can get a quickie divorce for as little as seventy dollars.
