Bloody Sunday, a video commentary smuggled out of Lithuania, at great risk, vividly records the events of Sunday, January 13, 1991. On that fateful Sunday, Soviet troops murdered, wounded, and beat the unarmed civilians who surrounded the television and radio tower in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Especially poignant and moving is the death of 24-year-old Miss Asanavichiute. She is one of those run over by the tanks. In the video, the beautiful, young martyr is interviewed on her hospital bed just hours before she dies.
