S. QUANTITY I was recently preaching on the theme of pride and was looking up the meaning of the word in the dictionary. I was reminded that one meaning of the word has to do with a family of lions — a pride of lions. It came to me that there is a fable about the group of female animals who were arguing about who had the biggest litters. Some talked big about their twins or triplets. Others bragged of having a dozen in their litter. Finally, they asked the lioness, who rather quietly replied, “I have only one, but that one is a lion.”
