A party of schoolchildren went on a week’s camping trip. After they had settled down in their campsite, one of the counselors told the children that he was going into town and that if any of them wanted anything mailed he would take it with him. One boy said that he had promised to send his mother a postcard — but he made no attempt to write one. The counselor told him he would have to hurry. “I’ll be just a second,” the boy said.
