A woman drove up and said, “Fill it up and check the oil.” Then she noticed a computerized screen that the proprietor had installed where it could be seen by motorists waiting for their tanks to be filled — the idea being to provide customers with a little diversion while their cars were being serviced. The digitized message that the woman saw flashing across the screen read as follows: “Your parents ruined the first half of your life! Your children will ruin the second half!”
