Her arms are laden with bracelets, given to her by her former Egyptian mistress. She has coveted those bracelets for a long time and she knows that if her liberation is final they will be hers to keep. But, somehow, bracelets aren’t as captivating when one is in the middle of a lightening storm, with walls of water on either side, a hostile army in pursuit, and only slippery ground to travel on.
