“Why is it blue?” Torre asked. “Because you’re a boy. It’s blue for boys and pink for girls.”
“Oh, so God’s up in the sky and the sky is blue. Is God a boy?”
We delight in the sheer innocence of a child’s curiosity about God:
. . . Is God a boy? . . . Does God know all about stuff before it’s invented? . . . How did God know He was God? . . . Is God tougher than Superman?
We even delight in the unique sense of awe and wonder we experience at the sight of a child’s unabashed, unafraid, uninhibited exploring and romping in the park.
