A young man and woman, soon to be married, were walking along the sea shore …
It was such a moment of bliss for the young man that, in his excitement, he looked up over the sea and cried out, “Roll mighty ocean, roll.” Whereupon, the starry-eyed young woman looked at him lovingly and said, “Oh you wonderful man, it’s doing it.”
When two people are in that kind of blissful state, it’s easy to pledge a lasting union. It’s not difficult for them to say they will love each other and remain faithful to each other all of their lives. But, as time goes by, and the daily pressures build and close in on them, the blissful episodes seem to grow further and further apart.
