Children’s Sunday Sermon

Good morning boys and girls. Years ago there was a popular song called Me and My Shadow. The song talked about how a person’s shadow would follow him around. You know how that works — when you’re outdoors and it’s sunny, you can see your shadow cast on the ground. And as long as you stay in the sun, no matter where you go, you can’t get away from it.

That’s kind of the way it is with Jesus. No matter where we go, no matter what we do — no matter if it’s cloudy or sunny, Jesus is always right there with us! In fact in today’s Lesson, we read in the Bible that Jesus said, Know that I am with you always. Isn’t that a wonderful thought, boys and girls?

Have you ever known someone who was lonely? Maybe it was an older person living alone. Or maybe it was a family member or friend…
