Admit it. We’re all suckers for a tale that tugs at the old heart strings. You know, first something goes horribly, impossibly, terribly wrong. And then, just as all seems lost, the miracle that had been hoped for comes true, and we’re magically transported to happily-ever-after-land. Of course it’s a tried-and-true Hollywood formula for box office success, and I shudder to think what I’ve spent on movie theater popcorn over the years falling for that plot line! How about the adorable little girl who’s heartbroken because her cherished Charley the chihuahua has been missing for a week? Fearing the obvious, her parents try to prepare their precious princess for the reality that old Charley has finally moved to the farm he has always dreamed of. (Even without my glasses, I can see the lump in your throat from here). But wait!
