A newspaper reporter was walking past the large street level window of a branch of the New York City Public Library …
He noticed that a man on the other side of the window was reading the morning paper, and he was delighted to see that the newspaper was open to the page on which there was a big article he had written the day before.
The reporter stopped in his tracks and watched through the window. Would the man be interested enough to read the entire article? The journalistís nose pressed up against the glass. Would the man turn to the page where the story was continued? Minutes passes and nothing happened. Was the man deep in thought about what he already read in the article?
Several more minutes passed. Then the writer stepped around for a good view of the manís face and eyes. And, alas, that was when he discovered that the man had fallen asleep.1
