To establish his agenda for the new year, a certain man recorded a very telling greeting on his voicemail which went like this:
“Hello, and Happy New Year. I’m sorry I am unable to take your call right now. Please be advised: In 2014 I’ve decided to make some important changes in my life — and if you don’t hear back from me, you’re one of them!”
I know what some of you are thinking: “Oh how I wish I had the courage to do the same on my voicemail. This year, oh how I wish I had the courage to make some really important changes in MY life!” And as well intentioned as this desire may be, it is important for us to first take care of the unfinished business from the past.
