Today I’d like to speak about an all-too-common malady that has afflicted so many of us, and to offer a sure-fire cure. But first, as a sort of case study, I’ll share a few lines from a current New York Times bestseller titled “Young Money” that I think makes the point. A recent review of the title begins this way: “If this book does not scare you straight about the life of a young financial analyst on Wall Street, it can’t be done.” -1
If you were to read the book, I think you’d agree. From the one-hundred-plus-hour work weeks, to the pathological need for greater-and-greater wealth, the author paints a depressing picture of what life is like for the newly-minted college graduates who jump head first into the world of Wall Street.
