Contrary to what you may be thinking, that’s not a list of police or military gear, rather, those are some of the current, or soon-to-be implemented tools used by the National Football League to enhance both the viewer’s experience, and the player’s performance. Since instant replay was first introduced to television audiences some forty years ago, broadcasters have continually upped their technological game to make certain that we never miss a thing — using as many as twenty, state-of-the-art cameras on and around the field — among many other innovations.
