This is Our Forever: Put God First
A much-loved grandfather began showing signs that he might soon require full-time care. Consequently, the family gathered for a meeting to discuss his options. Anthony, the ten-year-old grandson, and his younger sister attentively listened as the adults weighed the advantages and disadvantages of the available choices. Eventually, the boy interrupted, addressing his grandpa. “Grandpa,” he declared, “I will never allow you to go to an old age home.” The grandfather responded, “Anthony, we never know what the future will bring, so sometimes we have to think about living in a new place.” The boy was adamant, saying, “Grandpa, no matter what, you will live with me.” Grandpa then turned to his granddaughter and said, “That’s so nice of your brother. What would you do if I had to go to a nursing home?” After thinking it over for a moment, the little girl replied enthusiastically, “I’d visit you and Anthony!”
