One was a Roman Catholic priest, the other a Methodist Minister. They began to chat and the Methodist minister was bubbling over with enthusiasm as he talked about the new church he was planning to build for his congregation.
The priest offered his good wishes, and the minister with tongue in cheek, said, “Wouldn’t you like to make a contribution?” The priest answered, “I’m not sure my Bishop would favor my contributing to the building of a Protestant church.”
A few days later, the Methodist minister received a letter from the Roman Catholic priest, together with a check for two hundred dollars.
