MOTHER’S FAVORITE
The story is told of a mother who had seven children. She was asked a rather delicate question, “Don’t you really have a favorite among all those kids?” To the questioner’s astonishment, she answered “Yes… yes I do. My favorite is the one who is ill, until he is well again. The one who is away from home until he returns. The one who is distressed, until he is relieved. The one who is rebelling until he gets over it.”
