UNFAIR IN MY FAVOR
Calvin is arguing with his Father about going to bed. “Why can’t I stay up late? You guys can. IT’S NOT FAIR!” Dad looks down and says, “The WORLD isn’t fair, Calvin.” Calvin marches off to bed saying, “I know, but why isn’t it ever unfair in my favor?” Isn’t that exactly how we feel when we come face to face with the unfairness of life, especially when we bump heads with it?. We don’t mind the unfairness as long as it is unfair in our favor. From Calvin And Hobbes, by Bill Watterson, July 29, 1991
