THE SEARCH IN THE WRONG DIRECTION
When my children and I had finished unpacking in our new home, we noticed our poodle was missing. Concerned that she couldn’t find her way back in the unfamiliar surrounding, I loaded the kids into the car and went to look for her. We drove up and down the neighborhood without any luck. Not far from our house I noticed a man sitting on his front porch. I asked him if he’d seen our dog. “Yes,” he replied. “She’s been following your car for the past ten minutes.” Sometimes we look so hard for God’s blessings that we fail to notice what is in our own backyard, following us through life.
