TRAIN UP A CHILD TO USE HIS VOICE
Dr. Harry Thomas brought up his child to express himself with his voice. Dr. Thomas would sit in the back pew of the church while his son would recite scripture from the pulpit. When his son was in high school his English teacher had all the students deliver a famous oration in the school assembly. This young man brought the house down, earning the respect of his entire school. His confidence continued, and the voice of Lowell Thomas became a legend within the United States and beyond. The direction of a father charted the course of a great and trusted career. Taken from notes at the Lowell Thomas Museum in Victor, Colorado
