I LOVE MY CHURCH
I love my church, and I’m faithful to go, If the weather’s not too hot, rainy, or snow. I love my church, and I support it well, Whenever the stores are not having a sale. I love my Lord, as it’s plain to see, Under this pretense of misery. Yes, Jesus, I love you; how can you doubt? I thanked you last Sunday while catching that trout. And the Sunday before while visiting Aunt Jane, I thanked you for her cooking and did not complain. And before that when Junior was sick, I vowed to be faithful, and you did the trick. I meant it then, Lord, but you know how it is, With relatives, and outings, and then my biz. I love my church, and I want it to grow; And when I can, I intend to go.
