MACARTHUR ON LORDSHIP
Some may think I question the genuineness of anyone converted to Christ without a full understanding of His lordship. That is not the case. In fact, I am certain that while some understand more than others, no one who is saved fully understands all the implications of Jesus’ lordship at the moment of conversion. I am , however, equally certain that no one can be saved who is either unwilling to obey Christ or consciously rebellious against the lordship of Christ. The mark of true salvation is that it always produces a heart that knows and feels its responsibility to respond to the ever-awakening reality of the lordship of Christ. From The Gospel According to Jesus, John F. MacArthur, Jr., xiii
