THE BIRTHMARK
I recently heard Chuck Swindoll on his nationally syndicated radio Bible program, tell the story of one of his classmates in seminary, a man we’ll call Tom. Tom was a bright, outgoing, gregarious, gifted young man, well liked by his peers. This wouldn’t be unusual at all, except for one thing: Tom had a large red birthmark that ran from one eye, down his face, across his mouth, down his neck, to his chest.
