PASSION DEFINED
Passion is a very different word than most of us think it to be, or at least, much different than commonly used. Passion means to “experience, especially sensation, and usually painful.” The word is used only once in the Bible, in Act 1:3, referring to Jesus’ experience of death and resurrection, certainly an experience of earthly sensation, and certainly painful. I contend that passion in the absence of love becomes an addiction. Passion in the presence of love becomes holy, that is whole and divine, the living spiritual energy that creates.
