DOUBLING WASTED EFFORTS A
British pastor was talking to someone about their outreach program. How they were contacting new families and winning new families to their church. He said proudly, “Last year we visited two thousand homes, knocked on their doors and personally visited with two thousand different families.” The person he was talking to asked him, “Well, what were the results?” He said, “Well, we didn’t get anybody. We got zero results out of two thousand people, nobody came.” The man talking to him said “Well what are you going to do this year?” He looked at him rather proudly and said, “We’re going to visit four thousand homes.” If what you are doing is not effective, then doubling the effort in doing it is not going to be effective either.
