GRATITUDE
There is a little bit of Thomas in every one of us. I want proof. But in place of verification, God gives us people. I want my religion safe. The resurrected Lord makes life adventurous, scary, meaningful. God hugged me a few months ago, and I did not know it. Nor did I want to know. God dropped by as a man wanting some gas money for the Road of Life. You know how we are when someone asks for money. They beg. We beg off. He asked for assistance with gas. I offered him canned food. I could have given him fresh food, good food. The women of the church were cooking and meeting that day. Instead, I gave this man some canned goods. But he was thankful for the canned food. While we were getting the canned goods, he showed me a picture of his children. They were hidden in the altar of his wallet. His children were waiting for him…
