PAINSTAKING WORKMANSHIP
I was working for a construction company, assisting two masons, a father and his son, as they laid a block wall. The father worked with quick efficiency and was soon halfway finished with his section. Meanwhile, the son had completed only two rows but argued that it was his painstaking workmanship that would be remembered in years to come. “One hundred years from now,” the young man said to his father, “no one will know how fast you completed your wall.” “Oh, yes they will” replied the father, “because, at your pace, you’ll still be here to tell them.” By Rev.
