THE WAR TO DEATH OR LIFE
This war has been raging since the beginning of time.
It is the most violent battle ever to be waged.
It has claimed many lives for both sides.
Each side can be jubilant and sad.
This war is a silent war.
There is no noise of cannons or bombs.
There is no whine of rockets or blasts of gunfire.
There is only the intense silence of a battle for lives.
The struggle intensifies as each of us becomes involved.
The war spreads as each side wants more lives.
The battle that rages without expands,
And begins to rage within./Each one of us is a battlefield.
Each one of us is fighting for our lives.
Each one of us must declare which side we are on.
Each one of us will live or die depending on the decision./Written by Jeanne Ervin
