EVIL WORKED FOR GOOD
Trouble – Samuel L. Brengle’s little classic, Helps to Holiness, was originally written as a series of articles during a period of convalescence after a tough kid threw a brick at the author’s head. The Brengles used to say: “If there had been no little brick, there would be no little book.” Mrs. Brengle kept the brick and painted a text on it. In the text was Genesis 50:20 – “You meant it for evil but God meant it for good.”
