The great work must go forward… as soon as we all find somebody else to do it. Anybody who tries to get between me and my work… has a good chance of succeeding. By staying at the rear of the advance… you can be at the forefront of the retreat. Will all those who feel powerless to influence events… please signify by maintaining their usual silence? Reasonable thought can only go so far… beyond that, you must either be unreasonable or stop thinking. This world is conveniently located… about half-way between heaven and hell with good views in both directions. The existence of God has already been proven to my satisfaction… by the existence of everything else. How can the world be improving… when what we once called “heaven” we now call “space?” Speak nothing but the truth… and you’ll soon be considered dangerous. I can’t stop the world from changing… but that’s fair… because the world can’t stop…
