THE BATTLE WON
This vision came to me one day
When all my terrors had come to play
All the fear and terror and shame
They had my shape, they had my name
I watched them come. Intent to possess
And cried to my God within my distress
My God heard me. He never sleeps
This battle was his. He plays for keeps
Satan cannot enter where Jesus would dwell
He sent the terrors back into hell
The spector moved past me and faded away
My God kept me safe again today
And so. I entered into God’s rest
Knowing I had been eternally blest/Protecting his own is what he had done
