NO MONEY FOR COLLECT CALLS
A couple decided to take a much- needed vacation and leave their young children behind with a trusted baby-sitter. The first night away from home they called home to see how the children were getting along with their baby-sitter. Their daughter answered the phone. Since the parents had called collect, the operator asked the girl if she would pay for the call. The girl who had never received a collect call before apologized and told the operator that she wanted to talk to her parents but was unable to pay for the call — she did not have any money. Contrary to the girl’s initial response, the call did go through. The resources and solutions to meet our needs are not always obvious. But it serves us well to remember that when God seeks to communicate with his children — the call will go through.
