PLAY DOMINOES INSTEAD
George Bernard Shaw was dining in a London restaurant when an orchestra began to play loudly. The music went on for some time until Shaw beckoned the head waiter and asked, “Does the orchestra play requests?” The head waiter exclaimed with delight that they did and asked what Shaw would like them to play. “Ask them to play dominoes until I have finished eating!” From Bits & Pieces, February 2, 1995
