OUR WORST NIGHTMARE
One of the young mothers in our congregation took her children to Washington D.C. for vacation this year. One of their memorable moments was in the National Museum. It seems that Mom turned around and caught five year old William climbing the pedestal upon which a statue of Marcus Aurelius was sitting. William was trying to put his cowboy hat on the statue. He was nearly to the top when Mom grabbed him. Just about that time a security guard came over, Mom was pale with fear and said, “That’s my worst nightmare.”The security guard, eyes big in surprise and disbelief said, “Mine, too.”
