FORGIVENESS HEALS FACES
In Zapoteco of the Ricon, Mexico, the sentence “I forgive you.” is translated “My face heals toward you.” At one time in the history of these Indians, the difference between the facial expression of a person holding a grudge and that of a person at peace with his neighbors may have been noted. Regardless of how this expression for forgiveness originated, it does show insight concerning the effect our inner attitudes have upon our bodies.
