CHASING A DREAM
A few years ago, one of America’s leading newspapers did a study on the perils of middle age. It was the story of two men struggling with the recognition that life was slipping by and they had not accomplished nearly all they had intended. The implication of the study was that the middle years of life are the most perilous. During these years many people develop serious psychological and physical problems . . . The newspaper study suggested that at least part of the crisis of the middle years is the loss of one’s dreams. In earlier years we have high and worthy ideals and ambitions, but as the years slip by we may well lose sight of them. According to some psychologist, such a phenomenon happens to everyone.
