THE REAL BATTLE?
The president of a well- known parachurch organization that helps bring about discipleship and renewal in church congregations was sitting through a long, exhausting meeting as one of the leaders of another organization went on. Controversy among the leaders had led to hours of argument. In the midst of it all, he turned to the person next to him and said, “This kind of thing reminds me of a dream I had a long time ago. I dreamed that I died and went to heaven, and St. Peter met me at the gates, ‘Welcome, decoy!’ he said.” “‘Decoy?! What do you mean, decoy?'” “‘Sure. While you’ve been having meetings here and conventions there and seminars everywhere else, you’ve been primarily a decoy.
