ANGRY CHURCH MOB CAPTURES GUNMAN
An angry crowd of about 100 chased a gunman who had fired a shot inside a church, caught up with him a few blocks away and threw rocks and bricks at him until police arrived, authorities said. Police rescued the suspect as the mob was “maintaining a little street justice on the man’s head and shoulders,” said one police officer. The suspect sustained slight head injuries. The trouble began Sunday when a 15- year-old girl sitting with her family in Our Queen of Angels Catholic Church recognized a bracelet the man was wearing. The girl told police the bracelet, which her father made for her, was stolen from the family’s home three years ago.
