The author of the Book of Hebrews understood that from the moment Jesus Christ came into his life everything was different. He had experienced a Christ who would lay aside His crown, who would give up His life in order to reveal the wondrous love of God for man. Paul’s letter to the Hebrews is a bit of a problem, however, because it was not written by Paul, it is not a letter and it wasn’t written to the Hebrews. But it does reveal the fact that the author had been opened up by Jesus Christ to what he called “a new and living way to God.”
He discovered that it was possible for you to enter into direct union with the God who created you and sustains you. He discovered that it was possible for your life to be fused to the Spirit of God.
