THE ATTORNEY IN HEAVEN
The best of the spate of recent lawyer jokes was the one I heard about the lawyer that died and found himself in heaven. By the time he’d been there a day or two he noticed that he was a good deal younger than most everyone else. This began to bother him, and he wondered if his death had been a mistake, since he had arrived so young, compared to the other occupants. So he found St. Peter and asked him about this concern. St. Peter said he would look into his case and see what he could find out. The next day Peter came back and said to the lawyer. “Yes, after looking at you, and looking at your file I realize a mistake was made in your case. We had figured your age by the number of your billing hours!”
