A NEW NAME
A little boy went to his mother and asked her what the next door neighbors were going to name their brand-new baby girl. The mother replied that she thought they were going to name the baby after her grandmother. The boy thought for a moment and then said: “Mom, you mean to say that they’re going to call that tiny little baby ‘Grandma’?” When we were baptized we were all given a name — we might even have been named after a grandmother or grandfather or parent. We were all given different names…but we all received one name in common: the name of christ. We were given the name of Christian. We became followers of Christ. CK
