USING UP YOUR BIBLE
A missionary visited a remote village for several months and finally began to see converts. One man even walked for three days to hear the gospel. Upon leaving the missionary gave everyone a small New Testament. Several months later he visited the village again to see how the new converts were. As he drove away in his jeep a man came running out of the bush waving his arms frantically. As the missionary stopped, the man, out of breath, asked the missionary if he could have another Bible. The missionary recognized him as the man who walked three days the first time he was there. “What happened to the Bible I gave you the last time?” The man produced a New Testament with only the front and back covers and one or two pages. “What happened to it?” “I walked three days back to my village and told everyone about this wonderful Christ and how he could change their lives.…
