In college, we had just finished having a Bible study, and as a brand-new Christian I had noticed how Jesus lays out very firmly that if we are His own, then we are going to bear fruit. During this study, we had seen that fruit comes in two ways: one is that which is of the Spirit and distinguishes a Christian’s character (love, joy, peace, etc.), while the other fruit is those who come to Jesus by our witness and the lives we lead. I wrestled with this, because here I was a Christian of some six months . . . and no one had come to Christ through my witnessing. I was getting impatient! I was wondering if God had really changed my lie. . . and so I went into the church to spend sometime in prayer. As I talked with the Lord, I became very serious, wondering what I was doing wrong…
