It was April 28th. The day before Jan’s 19th birthday. Tomorrow would be a sad day. Jan had died five months before at the young age of eighteen. No one really knew how it happened, only that maybe there was some kind of mechanical failure, and the car Jan was riding in hit a tree, killing Jan instantly. Jan’s family was in shock, and now after a few months had passed, they would relive Jan’s life and her freak and sudden death. All of the dreams and hopes Jan’s parents had for her had been cut short, too short. Yes, tomorrow, Jan’s birthday, would be a sad day.
