IMPROVING YOUR SCORE
After two lessons, Jake was out on the course for the first time. On the first hole, a 110- yard par-3, he stepped up to the tee, driver in hand. “That’s the wrong club for this hole,” his caddie admonished him. “Listen, Jake replied. “I’ve had two lessons, and the only club I’ve learned how to hit is the driver. I’m not out to break any records; let me use the club I’ve practiced with.” The caddie shrugged. Jake swung and lined the ball directly into a bunker. Still holding the driver, he stepped into the sand. “You can’t use a driver there!” the caddie observed. “I told you,” said Jake, “it’s the only club I know. I’ll do my best, and after a couple more lessons I’ll be ready for the other clubs.” With that he hit a mighty shot.
